Speed CAN be taught, learned, and developed. Developing dynamic speed and agility in athletes is straightforward if you have the correct system. Simple, yet effective techniques and drills that may be often overlooked need to be applied into your programming if you want to compete at the highest levels.
Many people are hesitant when it comes to speed being taught. They believe that because someone isn’t naturally fast that there isn’t much you can do about it. Yes, it is true that not everyone can be an Olympic track star, but in reality, most athletes have never been taught how to move efficiently.
Applying aspects that are mandatory for success in almost every sport: flexibility and mobility, coordination, explosive power, multi-directional acceleration and deceleration techniques, and conditioning is the key to developing overall athletic ability combined with an effective strength program.
Our new set-up allows for athletes to start scheduling their semi-private lifts in congruence with their speed training throughout the entire year using 360 speed. With the understanding that both resistance training and speed need direct hands on attention, athletes must start signing up for 360 speed sessions separately if they would like an entire speed oriented workout. This allows for coaches to be more efficient on the floor when training either a semi-private workout OR 360 speed athlete. These sessions are also designed to create the possibility for multiple athletes to sign up for the same session. This will create a competitive atmosphere in which athletes can challenge one another.
Start turning your weakness into strength, and begin operating at a higher percent of your unrealized potential using 360° Speed. No one in the area teaches multi-directional speed like our team at Total Athlete Performance.
360° Speed sessions run throughout the year with various start times depending on the season.
